About the Role:

We are looking for a dynamic and result-driven National Account Manager with proven experience in a B2B sales role, supporting existing accounts & targeting net new customers. The Account Manager will be responsible for growth within existing accounts and acquiring new clients in the IT Infrastructure, Cabling, Security, Audio-Visual industries, Voice and Networking.

As an Account Manager, you will play a key role in growing the business. You will have the tools to drive growth within accounts by providing Physical Security, Wi-Fi, AV, Cabling Infrastructure, Microsoft Teams and Managed Services Solutions. You will be expected to engage with all levels within the clients’ organizations, including IT, Facilities, and Executive Management. You will be required to develop and deliver sales bids, presentations, proposals and/or product demonstrations.

The ideal candidate will possess strong sales, interpersonal and organizational skills. They should be comfortable multitasking and able to budget their resources to meet the assigned quotas for their role.

Responsibilities:

Achieve or exceed sales targets by:

  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing national customers to retain current business.
  • Identifying new sales opportunities within existing accounts to promote consistent growth by increasing revenue and selling additional product lines.
  • Proactively identifying and pursuing sales opportunities with net new customers. (Acquisition Accounts)
  • Orchestrating meetings, proposing solutions, submitting proposals, and actively participating in the presentation of these proposals.
  • Acting as an intermediary between customers and internal technical and Operation teams, helping to manage IT projects by managing communication between parties and collaborating on planning.
  • Providing accurate and timely sales forecasts and reports to the management team via our Sales CRM.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities.
  • Continuously enhancing product knowledge to effectively address customer inquiries and concerns.
  • Attending industry events and trade shows to build networks and generate leads.
  • Executing and expanding assigned customer account plan(s) developed in conjunction with management.
  • Communicating with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identifying and suggesting products and services to meet those needs.
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolving any issues that may arise post-sale.
  • Maintaining communication with new customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest.

Qualifications:

  • Candidates with at least two (2) years of experience selling in a business-to-business capacity or proven experience in an Inside or technical support sales role will be considered.
  • Previous proven abilities in large accounts.
  • Previous experience in sales, in a B2B environment.
  • Excellent sales, negotiation and closing skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills.
  • Ability to travel to current and potential clients and suppliers.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and occasional overnight travel.
  • Maintains and manages a pipeline of opportunities.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in selling technology solutions is preferred within any of the disciplines below:
    • Physical Security
    • Wi-Fi
    • Audio Visual
    • Cabling Infrastructure
    • Microsoft Teams
    • Managed Services
