Audio Visual – Business Manager

We are currently looking for a Business Manager-Audio Visual to join our team. This role will be a subject matter expert on the AV products contained in the Activo Product line and will help to build and develop the practice area.

This role will include the following areas of accountability:

Business Management:

  • Develop overall business plan for this practice towards achieving market growth and incremental sales
  • Refine growth plans on an ongoing basis as new opportunities come into play
  • Identify ways to build security market by means of sales of service and solution bundling (with AV)

Program Development

  • Develop Program to best deliver services
  • Develop training initiatives to ensure staff are capable of handling the projects required for this line of business
  • Develop a certification program
  • Develop product presentations for the sales force.

Partner Relations

  • Build visibility with vendors and partners to create a competitive advantage for Activo AV products
  • Developing strong partnerships towards ensuring best in class training and certification
  • Identify new customer targets and execute a strategy to acquire and develop them
  • Works within customer accounts to position product line
  • Build visibility with vendors and customers to create a competitive advantage for Activo AV products

Technical Knowledge

Inside Sales Specialist

Position Summary:

 For this position, you are looking for key candidates who possess both a Strong Customer Service background and the ability to deliver on Sales targets.

The Inside Sales position will be part of a dynamic team responsible for our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. You must be comfortable making cold calls, working with channel partners, generating interest, qualifying prospects and closing sales.

Position Responsibilities:

Lead Generation:

  • Identify & qualify sales opportunities with new clients;
  • Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest;
  • Generate accurate weekly sales funnel reports & the account status of all potential opportunities being pursued & secured to assist management in making strategic decisions.;
  • Maintain and expand your database of prospects within the region; and
  • Support the Account Managers through appointment setting where applicable.

Sales Support

  • Manage the proposal/presentation process to ensure that they are delivered in a professional & effective manner & ensure that all outgoing company documents have been approved by management
  • Ensure that quotations are signed and reviewed by appropriate people
  • Manage tracking of proposals in the CRM and provide status reports.

  • Update & maintain daily client information & activity in database. Must also include any strategic, competitive & account intelligence. Answer customer inquiries and direct inquires/calls as required.

Technical Knowledge

In this vital position, the Audio Visual Technician will be responsible for service calls, installing required hardware, troubleshooting to ensure the installed systems work flawlessly, explaining the system to the client and answering any questions the client may have.  This position requires strong technical skills, with 3-5 years experience in the industry, as well as excellent communication skills. We are looking for candidates who are dynamic and professional, able to multi-task and able to work independently.

Desired Skills and Experience

3-5 years experience as a commercial audio visual installation technician and have experience with the following:

  • Crestron/AMX controls.
  • Extron switchers.
  • Polycom and TANDBERG/Cisco videoconferencing products.
  • Working knowledge of basic hand tools.
  • Good mechanical/fabrication and soldering skills.
  • Ability to accurately read wiring diagrams.
  • Direct supervisory experience with excellent communication skills.

Ideally, candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience in the installation and service of Intrusion, Access Control and/or CCTV systems.
