Job Description

The successful candidate will provide network and telecom services including the installation, configuration, integration and support of Network and Telecom equipment. The ideal candidate will be familiar with various platforms, technologies and manufacturers equipment, specifications, programming and capabilities, experience with Nortel BCM equipment. The position will work closely with internal and external associates and customers to ensure environments are setup correctly and perform as expected. Knowledge of Phone Systems, specifically Nortel, Video Conferencing and Networking would be an asset.

Essential Functions 

  • Hands on experience installing, configuring and supporting Nortel BCM.
  • Previous experience implementing other phone systems is preferred, such as: Mitel IP Systems, Panasonic and Toshiba.
  • Knowledge of Voice and IP Telephony technologies.
  • Working knowledge of telecom/network cable infrastructures.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work during regularly scheduled and unscheduled evening and weekend hours to support ongoing implementation activities and remediation projects.

Requirements

  • 1+ Years of Telephony installation, configuration and support (Experience with Nortel BCM is required and experience with Mitel IP, Panasonic, Toshiba, or other telephony products is preferred).
  • Working Knowledge of Microsoft Business Applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Good understanding of technology concepts and design, specific focus on store/remote architecture.
  • Excellent customer service skills and comfortable with remote/telephone support functions.
  • Familiar with Project Management and Reporting tools.
  • Strong communications skills (verbal and written). Ability to work in both team environments and as an individual contributor.
  • Ability to work various shifts as needed for coverage.

Audio/Visual Installer/Technician

Job Description

In this vital position, the Audio Visual Technician will be responsible for service calls, installing required hardware, troubleshooting to ensure the installed systems work flawlessly, explaining the system to the client and answering any questions the client may have.  This position requires strong technical skills, with 3-5 years experience in the industry, as well as excellent communication skills. We are looking for candidates who are dynamic and professional, able to multi-task and able to work independently.

Desired Skills and Experience

3-5 years experience as a commercial audio visual installation technician and have experience with the following:

  • Crestron/AMX controls.
  • Extron switchers.
  • Polycom and TANDBERG/Cisco videoconferencing products.
  • Working knowledge of basic hand tools.
  • Good mechanical/fabrication and soldering skills.
  • Ability to accurately read wiring diagrams.
  • Direct supervisory experience with excellent communication skills.

Please Note: This job involves some heavy lifting and the AV Technician will sometimes have to go up on 25-30 ft. lift.

We are looking for customer success focused, results driven individuals with a strong business acumen, a consultative sales approach and relevant knowledge of Broadband and Network Services including Internet and VoIP. Ideal candidates must possess a consistent track record of success, strong B2B sales skills and experience in both business development and account management.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of quota carrying technology/Telecommunications sales and account management experience.
  • Consistent earnings of more than $100K in most recent sales role with a minimum $1M quota.
  • Strong and demonstrated written and verbal communications skills.
  • Proven Experience managing the sales-cycle from lead generation to close.
  • Proven experience with developing long-term customer relationships and growing sales within existing customers.

Responsibilities

  • The AE is responsible for achieving targeted revenue/gross margin objectives by leveraging Activo’s full product/service offering.
  • The AE will sell to both new and existing customers in a pre-defined sales territory, with a focus on developing strategic accounts and building long-term customer partnerships.
  • Establish/maintain long-term contractual relationships with our customers that promote continuous revenue streams.
  • Achieve Margin and Revenue targets for assigned accounts as set out by the Company.

Security Technician

Ideally, candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience in the installation and service of Intrusion, Access Control and/or CCTV systems.
