The ASIS 2013 conference provides security and technology professionals with opportunities to share the newest advancements in the security profession through a variety of industry seminars, exhibits, and events.
At ASIS 2013, Genetec will be demonstrating three of their latest innovations: the newest version of their Security Center, their access control integration with ASSA ABLOY Electronic Locks, and their new cloud-based video surveillance solution.
Security Center
Genetec’s Security Center is a unified security platform that seamlessly combines IP security systems with a simple, easy to use interface. It blends Genetec’s video surveillance solution, “Omnicast”, their access control technology, “Synergis”, and their licence plate recognition system, “AutoVu”, into one easy solution.
The latest version of Security Center is version 5.2. Its key enhancement is its new threat level management features. With these, users can respond more rapidly to changing security conditions and threats. For example, pre-defined threat levels can be set up that can be easily activated at any time. Different threat levels can automatically restrict entry through access-controlled doors, activate a complete lockdown, move PTZ cameras to specific positions, or increase the recording quality to ensure high video quality.
Security Center also improves collaboration throughout organizations with software-based video wall and display-sharing features.
Synergis Integration with ASSA ABLOY Electronic Locks
Synergis, Genetec’s access control solution, is now integrated with ASSA ABLOY Electronic Locks. This union increases options when designing physical security systems. Synergis will configure, synchronize, and monitor ASSA ABLOY Sargent and Corbin Russwin locks, as well as standard IP-based door controllers. Customers who use Synergis with Genetec’s video surveillance solutions will be able to view Wi-Fi and PoE lock events through live or recorded video.
Stratocast Cloud-Based Video Surveillance
Stratocast is Genetec’s video surveillance solution for small and medium sized businesses. It is ideal for restaurants, retail, office buildings, and sporting or musical events.
